1. The unlined cotton hose is a product for use with indoor fire hydrants. It has low pressure resistance and cannot be equipped with various fire trucks. Although its price is low, it is not wear-resistant, and the cumulative use cost is still high, which is not economical.

The pressure resistance of hemp hose is higher than that of cotton hose, and it can be equipped on fire trucks whose working pressure does not exceed 10 kgf/cm². But it's also not wear-resistant and expensive, and has actually been rarely used.

2. According to the regulations of "Performance Requirements and Test Methods for Lining Fire Hose", the working pressure of lined fire hose is divided into three types: 10, 13, and 16 kgf/cm², and the corresponding burst pressure is 30, 39, 48 kgf/cm². The selection should be determined according to the working pressure of the fire truck water pump.

At present, the domestically produced lined hoses are made of polyester or polyester-cotton warp threads and polyester-cotton weft threads. Most of them are lined with rubber or latex.

3. For the purchased hose, first check the sign at the end of the hose to see if it is consistent with the order contract, and beware of counterfeit goods without signs. The logo should generally include: trademark or factory name, inner diameter, length, material, working pressure, and production date of the hose. Some are also printed with the factory's unified number for the hose.

4. Further identify whether the fiber material of the purchased hose is consistent with the logo. The pressure resistance of the hose is determined by the fiber material. The following two methods can be used to identify the fiber material.

Unlined hose, count how many yarns the weft thread is made of. Generally, the number of weft threads of hemp hose is 12, and the number of cotton hose is about 50. In addition, the combustion method can be further used to identify.

There is a lining water belt, and the warp and weft materials are identified by the combustion method. The warp and weft can be burned on an alcohol lamp or a lighter.
